For eight weeks beginning Saturday, the tiny German-American Heritage Museum downtown hosts what could be mistaken for an industrial exhibit ? or worse, a sales event ? about the first gasoline-powered automobile, the one patented Jan. 29, 1886, in Germany by Carl Benz.
